What is this event?

It a chance to raise funds for the school while having a fun with a mix of treats, games, face painting and more!

Can parents come?

Yes! Parents and siblings are welcome to attend.

What is the money used for:

Funds raised from this event will support: Home reading program for primary grades, spelling support materials for junior/senior grades, additional technology, and other school wide initiatives.

On Friday May 17th, St. Mark School is participating in the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Jump Rope for
Heart fundraising program.

On the day of our Jump event, students will be invited outside with their classmates to participate in fun
skipping activities. To help raise funds in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, we are asking that
each student donate $2.00 by Thursday May 16th. All funds will be collected through School Cash Online.
Our school donation will help fund critical research that’s saving lives, preventing heart disease and stroke,
and supporting survivors and their families.

The Jump Rope for Heart event offers much more than a great day of fun. The event also helps to:
● Motivate kids to get active.
● Reinforce healthy habits like healthy eating and physical activity.
● Teach the importance of social responsibility and helping others in the community and across
Canada.
● Empower kids to make a difference by supporting a good cause.
● Boost school spirit.
