Please be advised the Opening Mass originally scheduled for this morning at 9:30 am at St. Mark Church has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 13^th at 9:30 am.

We were unable to go to the Church today since many students were without consent to walk to and from the Church.

A hard copy of the consent form will be sent home with your child this evening if you have not completed the form on School Cash Online.

Please complete the form and return it to the school as soon as possible.

We will reassess next week. If everyone has completed the form, we can have our Opening Mass at St. Mark Church.

If many students are still without consent to walk to and from the Church, we will have our Opening Mass at the school.

We will keep parents informed.

REMINDER: Educational Excursion Consent [Neighborhood Walks] Form

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Our Opening & Thanksgiving Mass is on Thursday, October 6^th at 9:30 am at St. Mark Church. Students and staff will be walking to and from the Church.

Please make sure to complete the Educational Excursion Consent [Neighborhood Walks] form on School Cash Online some time today.

Students require consent from their parent/guardian to walk off site with their teacher and class throughout the school year.

Orders will all be delivered in November.

FUNDRAISING TO ASSIST HURRICANE FIONA RECOVERY EFFORTS IN ATLANTIC CANADA

As many of you know, WCDSB has a long tradition of fundraising to assist relief efforts when natural disasters strike.

The devastation of Hurricane Fiona across Atlantic Canada has once again called us to action.

Last weekend, the Prime Minister announced the federal government will match all funds raised via the Canadian Red Cross.

Donations will support the range of emergency services the Red Cross is delivering to those in need including interim housing, clothing, food, and other essential supplies.

The Senior Team and Board of Trustees would like to invite all WCDSB schools to participate in a centralized fundraising campaign to maximize the government’s donation matching program.

All fundraising efforts will be collected centrally using the following link:

How to Participate:

· The deadline to participate is Friday, October 14, 2022

· The link will deposit the funds into a central board office account

· Individuals can use their existing School Cash Online account or checkout as a Guest. A School Cash Online account is not required.
