MESSAGE: SCHOOL PHOTO DAY

On behalf of Sean Rutherford, VP & Co-Owner of Pegasus

St. Mark School is scheduled for individual photos and class composites on Wednesday, October 5th. Photos will be taken in the school gymnasium starting at 9:00 am. Our composites are unique to each child, they are personalized with their own photo for a very inclusive picture program. We also create the composite after retake day so we can pick up any students who miss on the original day. No money is collected on photo day and the parents will have the opportunity to view a proof prior to making a purchase online with our company. The program is designed to minimize workload at the school level. Proofs will be sent home approximately two weeks after photo day. Parents will have their own unique access code and will order directly from our website; no money is collected by the school.

Looking forward to school photo day on Wednesday, October 5th.
Thank you.

Sean

MEET THE STAFF NIGHT & BBQ RESCHEDULED

MEET THE STAFF NIGHT & BBQ RESCHEDULED

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Please note there was a mistake in the last message – the correction is highlighted and underlined below.

Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict we will have to postpone the Meet the Staff Night & BBQ originally scheduled for Thursday, September 15th from 5:30-7:00 pm at the school.

Our Meet the Staff Night & BBQ is now scheduled for Thursday, September 29th from 5:30-7:00 pm at the school.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Hopefully, everyone will be able to attend on the new date.

Best regards.

Emergency Communication – Transportation

Due to a software malfunction, STSWR and our bus operators will not be able to post late notices on websites for transportation routes that are not running on schedule.  Further, late notices cannot be sent to parents via e-mail or text message as normal.

We apologize for this late notice and the issues it will create to your schedules.

Message to Families – Welcome Back

On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to welcome everyone back to St. Mark Catholic School for another year. We hope you all had a wonderful summer and are well rested and ready for a return to learning. We welcome all new students and families to the St. Mark School community.

Students in JK will return on Tuesday, September 6th for their scheduled visits with their classroom educators, and SK students will return to school on Wednesday, September 7th at the regular start time of 8:55 am. Students in grades 1-8 will return to school on Tuesday, September 6th at the regular start time of 8:55 am. Please remember to drop off your child between 8:40-8:55 am and not before 8:40 am, since our supervision schedule begins at 8:40 am each day. Students in grades 1-8, once they are dropped off, can make their way to the back of the school either by our north parking lot using the sidewalk or by the walkway between the south parking lot and Lion’s Den (FDK outdoor fenced in area). Parents & guardians are asked to remain on the sidewalk/boulevard in front of the school [if they wish] once they have dropped off their child/children – parents/guardians are not to be gathering on school property. The teachers and support staff will come out to the school yard at 8:55 am to greet students. All grade 1-8 students and staff will report to the blacktop area by the portables for opening exercises and introductions, and then teachers will gather their students and make their way to their classrooms. If the weather is unsuitable, students will make their way into the school from 8:40-8:55 am by way of the front door at our main entrance by the office, and they will be escorted to the school gymnasium for opening exercises, introductions, and classroom assignments. We are certainly hoping for nice weather on day 1.

We are looking forward to seeing our students and families next week and look forward to another wonderful school year.

Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful long weekend ahead.
